The main website acts as a hub for The Wasp Factory campaign. It features a map of the setting as well as an about, cast, and photos page. In addition to the main site, a second site counts down to the film’s release date. The concept behind it is that each hour on a clock will unlock a link to short eerie and mysterious videos. The linked videos would hint at the film’s dark and morbid themes.
Two animations narrating the phone calls, both of which play a prominent part in the book, were created to go alongside the two sites. Audio from the audiobook reading was spliced, arranged, subtitled then animated in a kinetic type style to achieve this.
